North Texas Tollway Authority Named Public Agency of the Year
DALLAS, TX, December 03, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ — The Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Supplier Diversity Council E Awards Gala held on November 15th recognized AT&T as the Corporation of the Year and the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) as the Public Sector Agency of the Year. The E Awards emphasizes Excellence in supplier diversity, minority business growth and development, minority business inclusion and impact upon the North Texas community.

Posey, CEO/President of the Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Supplier Development Council. “To win an award is no small feat. Both of our winning organizations demonstrated excellent results in the utilization of North Texas certified ethnic minority-owned businesses.”
The highly competitive awards process is based upon criteria designed to highlight a dedication to minority business inclusion, especially in North Texas, and a commitment to the mission and direction of the Council.
In addition to the Corporation of the Year and Public Sector Agency of the Year selections, other winners at the black-tie event included:
• Sean Tyson, Oncor — Buying Entity Buyer of the Year
• TinMan Enterprises – MBE Supplier of the Year – Class 1 (with revenues less than $1 million)
• F2G Solutions, Inc. – MBE Supplier of the Year – Class 2 (with revenues between $1 million and $10 million)
• Carrco Painting – MBE Supplier of the Year – Class 3 (with revenues between $10 million and $50 million)
• Themesoft – MBE Supplier of the Year – Class 4 (with revenues greater than $50 million)
• Rachel Kutz, AT&T — Executive Supplier Diversity Champion of the Year
• Graciela Hastings-Case – Supplier Diversity Professional of the Year
• Terri Quinton, Q2 Marketing Group LLC — MBE Advocate of the Year
The D/FW MSDC congratulates all the nominees and congratulates the winners of the 2019 E Awards.
Awards for corporations and public sector agencies were judged by Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) leaders. These leaders evaluated the submissions by Council members based upon their supplier diversity programs, innovative best practices, development and growth of MBEs and a commitment to the overall mission of the Council. Corporate and public sector agency representatives judged the MBE submissions based upon their business growth, innovative business solutions, operational excellence, utilization of other MBEs and community involvement.
For more than 45 years, the Council has focused on its mission of connecting corporations and public sector agencies with certified ethnic minority businesses. From an initial spend of $1 million with minority businesses in 1973, the Council has grown to verified spend with certified ethnic minority businesses headquartered in North Texas to a reported $25.2 billion. This represents 939 D/FW MSDC certified minority-owned businesses and more than 55,776 jobs maintained/created by the minority businesses.
