Supply and Demand Chain Executive Magazine names three of Source One Management Service’s procurement consultants as 2018 Provider Pros to Know

WILLOW GROVE, PA, February 24, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ — Leading Procurement consulting firm, Source One Management Services, LLC is proud to announce that three members of its expert spend management team have earned Supply and Demand Chain Executive (SDCE) Magazine’s 2018 Provider Pro to Know Award. 2018 marks the eighth-consecutive year that procurement consultants from Source One have earned this distinction.

SDCE annually recognizes procurement services and software providers who have made an impact in the supply chain operations of their clients or the community at large. This year, SDCE recognizes Source One Consultant Jonathan Groda and Senior Consultants Kenneth Ballard and Megan Connell for their success in eliminating siloes within their clients’ organizations and enabling procurement’s spend management impact through innovative strategies and tools.

Source One VP of Professional Services, Joe Payne commends Ballard for his global strategic sourcing success. “Kenneth has time and again proven himself more than capable of navigating the complexities that come with international Procurement initiatives. Unperturbed by tariffs, time zones, or cultural barriers, he has helped numerous companies build a dynamic sourcing footprint by facilitating relationships with suppliers around the globe.” An emerging thought leader, Ballard has shared insights on topics ranging from contracting in Logistics to the potential benefit of nearshoring supply operations in a number of leading procurement publications.

Connell is recognized for her success in bridging the gap between Marketing and Procurement groups. “Historically,” says Source One’s VP of Operations, William Dorn, “Procurement and Marketing are not known for their amicable relationship. Within many organizations, Marketing still views Procurement as an intrusive, cost-cutting adversary. Megan’s collaborative approach and her ability to speak Marketing’s language have compelled many of our clients to abandon these misconceptions and fully embrace Procurement’s potential for enabling brand strategies.”

In 2017, Groda accepted a leading role in developing Source One’s proprietary Procurement tools. Leveraging his procurement background and analytical mindset, Jonathan has played a key role in delivering a unique end-user experience that is designed for procurement professionals by procurement professionals. “Accepting a new role in the complex area of data science, Jonathan has proven himself an outstanding resource and an effective leader,” says Lead Data Scientist, James Patounas. “Thanks to his involvement in the development process, procurement professionals are maximizing their impact with improved spend visibility and eSourcing capabilities.”

The Pro to Know award kicks off an exciting year for the Procurement Services Provider. In May, Source One will return to the Institute for Supply Management’s Annual Conference as sponsors and guest speakers. This year’s agenda includes presentations from Source One Director, Diego De La Garza, and Sourcing Analyst, Kaitlyn Krigbaum. Source One will also host Procurement Leaders during the exclusive ExecIn subconference. This private, executive-only component of ISM2018 will bring together Supply Management’s preeminent minds to network and discuss the trends shaping the future of procurement.
